What moves you? What puts you in that attack position for more? What tickles your wild instincts for that feeling... that butterflies in your stomach of doing something new and different? Which scenario reminds you of an environment that is totally challenging, attractive and with unlimited possibilities?

I don't know about you, but mountains are my habitat. The mountains are the place where I can feel challenged in the most varied approaches and where I can practice different sports at different levels of difficulty.

The great thing about mountains, in my view, is that they refer directly to two situations that stimulate me at most: Physical Overcoming and Technical Overcoming.

Paragliding was born in the midst of this overcoming relationship in the mountains and came precisely as a technical solution to help in the process of overcoming challenges. Paragliding was born with the simple and objective purpose of making mountain descents safer and faster... but the whole thing evolved and it stopped being a part of a sport to be a sport in itself.

In this evolution, physical activity, the physical and technical overcoming of the mountain disappeared... it got lost... it went away. We started to conquer the mountains with cars, cable cars, helicopters... and from there take off with our equipment without the cost of the effort to be there, but also without the special and exclusive taste of having deserved to be there.

Time passes... things evolve... and our sport was visited for a "new" approach, an approach that reconnects the sport in a very intimate way with the mountain. Hike&Fly is the new guise of good and original paragliding. We've evolved into the past of our sport and I think this is the most modern thing I could hope for. I think that the signs of tiredness, addiction, the feeling of repetition of the practice of taking off, flying, landing and returning home were felt all over the world and the complementary search for another activity that could improve physical fitness ended up migrating to inside the paragliding itself. Hike&Fly made itself understood as a new solution, a rescue that brought the new. The union between the pleasure of flying and the benefits of physical activity with the unparalleled spice of the outdoor world is our future that is increasingly present.

Sighting a mountain, aiming for the summit, imagining the possible ways to win the climb, get information, research maps and embark on the mission to reach the top using only nature and your physical preparation supported by technical knowledge. Plan the route, estimate the time needed to reach the top, carefully analyze the possible takeoff areas, mentally plot alternative landing areas, calculate winds/channels/rotors... bro, what a spectacle... what a feeling it gives me just writing about it here. And to think that today you just take a car, go up the mountain and already have the launch and official landings defined.

At H&F we need to be in shape and practice is also a preparation that always keeps us in shape. On the mental side, we can develop trekking techniques, climbing techniques, via ferrata techniques, spatial assessment of the area... a lot of cool stuff that takes us out of our usual comfort zone.

Well, nothing compares to the possibilities that H&F rescued for our already wonderful sport. I feel happy to have opened this door in Brazil and today I feel fulfilled for also representing a brand that was born in the mountains and develops its own paragliders for this approach.
